Due to a spike in requests, members may experience delays in the processing of their Defined Benefit (DB) pension retirement. We are actively implementing an action plan to improve our processes and return processing times to normal. If you have already submitted your notice, we appreciate your patience as we work through processing your pension kit. To help mitigate the impact of these delays for employees who have already indicated their intention to retire, we will temporarily allow members to delay their retirement date without prejudice. This flexibility will be offered under the existing exception process guidelines. If you would like to delay your retirement, please inform your team lead in writing of your intention to change your retirement date.
Please note that once you've submitted your retirement notice, the Corporation will consider your decision as final, and any exceptional circumstances will need to be reviewed by Human Resources.
